And what costume shall the poor girl wear to all tomorrow's parties?

Wednesday night was spent at The Yorkshire Museum, attending a film premiere of a documentary me and my classmates made with production company Digifish, about York's history and culture. The documentary is part of the Precious Cargo Project at The Yorkshire Museum and also part of Stories of the World, a project of the London 2012 Cultural Olympiad. It was announced at the premiere that the documentary is going to be screened to the public at York's independent cinema. The documentary will also be shown at The Yorkshire Museum for forthcoming years with my position and name credited. Exciting! I also had the opportunity to chat to a woman from the BBC who attended the premiere and drink plenty of free wine.

Additionally my week has consisted of catching up with friends old and new and feeding my mind with film, music and literature.

It's like forgetting the words to your favourite song, you can't believe it, you were always singing along.

Several older photographs I recently got back from developing, taken on my Canon 1000F, a hidden door, an autumn stricken tree and the bedroom window in my apartment.

It's not that I'm rebelling, it's that I'm just trying to find another way.

Yesterday I had the opportunity to be introduced to Greg Dyke (read about him here) which was a really important event in my progression into film. We discussed television with him, explained how our production team worked and told him what our future aspirations are. In the evening I went to go see Never Let Me Go, which was beautiful. Carey Mulligan is simply enchanting.
Today, I've been helping my boyfriend with his Andy Warhol themed university project. Any excuse to dress up like Edie Sedgewick, bold eyebrows and big eyelashes.

I want my children to have magical powers, I am prepared for amazing things to happen, I can handle it.

I've begun packing to move out of my apartment. I feel strange, I've never had to leave somewhere I can never come back to and I can't imagine it. This is a new beginning in many ways, I think living in such a beautiful place will make me feel more warm and positive. I can't wait for the sunshine, sitting outside on the patio on an afternoon, drinking tea, smoking cigarettes, reading. Just a few paces away there's the busy city, yet the house is so hidden away it's like another world. I've spent today buying cardboard boxes and plant pots.
