Taken while out on location filming with Map of Canada, this is my favourite time of year. Everything is hectic right now, but in a good way, it'll be worth it to have such a diverse portfolio by the end of the month.

"This is what you shall do, love the earth and sun and the animals, despise riches, give alms to every one that asks, stand up for the stupid and crazy, devote your income and labour to others, hate tyrants, argue not concerning God, have patience and indulgence toward the people, take off your hat to nothing known or unknown or to any man or number of men, go freely with powerful uneducated persons and with the young and with the mothers of families, read these leaves in the open air every season of every year of your life, reexamine all you have been told at school or church or in any book, dismiss whatever insults your own soul and your very flesh shall be a great poem and have the richest fluency not only in its words but in the silent lines of its lips and face and between the lashes of your eyes and in every motion and joint of your body."
This is What You Shall Do by Walt Whitman.

The past few months I've been eating so healthy, but this weekend I decided to have a bit of a break and I did some baking. I made double chocolate brownies, fudge sauce and strawberry cupcakes before I went to go see Vision of Trees at Nation of Shopkeepers. My friend took some photos on her Olympus Trip 35, so I'm looking forward to seeing them. But for now I'll be going to collect my developed film from Manchester.

These were taken last year, so much has changed since then and I've recently realised how neglected my analogue cameras have become, I used to take a weekly trip into town to get a roll of film developed and now I'm become adjusted to the easier option of digital. So, earlier this week on a day trip to Manchester, for lack of 35mm film, I settled with a disposable camera and this afternoon I'm going to wander into town as I used to and pop into the familiar developing shop.

I feel all I have been doing recently is procrastinating. Pondering how wonderful I'm going to make my house look with fresh paint and antique furnishings, how much time and effort I'm going to put into the films I'm directing, yet I find myself retreating beneath the duvet as soon as I arrive home, a green tea in hand, current read in the other, before drifting off. I'm making efforts to be healthier, hoping this will help me feel as motivated as I did not long ago. I want my hair to grow, I want my legs to shrink. I know these wishes are self indulgent, some only wish to recover from a serious illness, but I do not and my petty wishes seem relevant in my procrastinating mind.

TOPSHOP.COM had 20% discount for students last weekend, so I finally bought the winter coat I've been wanting and a few other essentials! May I add the Alexa Chung for MADEWELL A/W collection has some lovely pieces. I know I've been an absent blogger, but I have my reasons. I'm in the process of applying to university alongside my studies and free time is becoming scarce. I'd be so grateful if I could have any university recommendations, I have two choices left on my application and I'm struggling.
I was recently wrote an article and had my photography featured in New York based fashion magazine 'Dress Me' and I'm set to become a regular contributor. These are screenshots of the PDF magazine format available here and my spread is between pages 60 - 67!

Summer Camp are all I've been listening to today while sorting through my closet and clothes rails, attempting to create some kind of order. I am in love with everything about this band.

Today I spent my entire afternoon in the lecture theatre watching and studying silent film, I was one of the few people genuinely interested. We start shooting out first production at the beginning of next month so my online activity is suffering due to intense production planning. I had a good day yesterday, when I got home I went for a long walk and went to a local art shop/café and had a bagel. Not particularly exciting but I don't need excitement right now, I need space to organise my thoughts and ideas.

I What do you think? I'm wasn't so sure at first, but it was so cheap I just bought it anyway. I've been searching eBay today, for cheaper alternatives of American Apparel's California Select Vintage collection.

I went back to college a few days ago and already I'm feeling the stress of university applications. I'm glad to be back though, by the end of this year I plan on having an awesome portfolio. However, today was my day off and I've been listening to GROUPLOVE and writing down rough drafts of my personal statement. Anyway, above is a few favourite belongings and the sky as seen from my bedroom window yesterday afternoon (the weather has been horrible so far this week).

That is the magic of Chanel, it does not age. Few things are like that. There is Charlie Chaplin, The Beatles and Chanel.
Tonight I may watch Lullaby for Pi, I've read such good reviews on it I'm inclined to see what all the fuss is about. If Clémence Poésy isn't reason enough, a storyline focused around a reclusive artist and an unsuccessful musician certainly is. As I'm currently trying to save money I'm spending my time indoors, trying to be productive, although cheesy television has been luring me back to bed. However this week I painted every room in my house with fresh white paint, put up blinds and tidied my garden up. I feel old, but complacent. Below are several photographs from last weekend, my internet is going so slow I can't seem to upload very many.

Who really knows you at all if you cannot talk of your greatest thoughts?
A recent love of mine, embellished blouses. Topshop proves this wardrobe necessity and I've now found myself with three, all equally as delicate and intricate. As summer is drawing out I've been wearing vintage cat eye sunglasses, I don't usually like sunglasses but I adore this pair. Today has been spent script writing, production planning and reading.
